how long can pollen be kept for and still be viable?

is pollen alive and has to reach the female before it dies?(at set time,hours/days/weeks)or is it in a dorment state until it gets to the female?(and so can pollenate month/years/decades...so on after being released from the male).

any info or personal experiance you have that will help?

depends how well you stored it, refrigerated and dry 2-3 months.

when you say refridgerate do you mean to freeze or to keep in the chiller part ?

I've never tried freezing yet, heard it will work and extend the life further.
