Can anyone tell me if this will work to let me watch my trichromes turn colors?Will this be sufficient or do i need a bigger one?

No really, I have a 30x jewelers loupe and it sucks, you need something with atleast 60x magnification. Get the radioshack hand microsscope its 60- 100X magnification and its under $20.

3-Lens Magnifier - RadioShack.com

This works just fine and only goes to 15x, I don't know what you guys are looking for but you only need to see what color the bubbles are. I have no problems with that low of magnification, you must be growing some pygmy plants.

I was told by someone to go for 100x magnification, but i really have no idea.......... it's my first time

Works fine, though best to clip little nips off the plant and view them on a flat, white surface.

this is what I bought. It's small, cheap, and dummyproof. It's 60x-100x magnification

Illuminated Microscope - RadioShack.com

It lets you get in there and see the trichome development and you can see the stalks, whether your triches are crushed, etc. Uber cheap. Uber easy.

Requires 2 AA or AAA batteries. can't remember which.

Not yet . . . there's a member, a female, I think, who did and posted her results. They weren't crystal clear, but I think it was her initial effort. I do plan on getting this scope at some point.

Thats what I'm talking about!!! There was a thread on RIU on making your own USB scope out of a Radio Shack scope and a web cam. You can't MAKE a decent one for less than $60. If it has decent resolution, that fucker is a steal!!!!!!
