A) Is it ever too late to trim a plant for clones?
B) If a plant is trimmed long after buds have formed then how long will the clones take to return to a vegetative state?
C) How long should a plant remain in veg after cloning before it is put to a 24/0 cycle to induce budding?

1 no I've cut clones 10 secs after harvesting so no
2 it can take up to 2 months
3 I wait about a week just to see how stress the plant got if nothing happens away i go

Just as a side note...I've had incredible success with cloning or at the very least non-typical (from what I have read). I dip the new stem base in tap water then lightly tamp it into Greenlight Rooting Hormone powder. Next, I sprinkle a pinch of the powder in the hole and transfer the clipping straight to heavily saturated (with water only) soil.

Most sources I've read suggest rooting in water or rockwool or other some other medium but the method I use has averaged 10/10 for tops and 1/20 for fan leaves.

ive seen mother plants over 3 years old... and going strong.

I did mean 12/12.

I pinched my plants and then the next day decided to take some clones from them. They looked great for about a week and now they aren't looking so good. Did pinching then promptly cloning not be such a good idea? Will the clones survive?
