Many people have problems getting nice fat stalks on indoor grows. Of course fans help and some people use different forms of supercropping. Well I just thought of another method that may or may not work, but I decided to give it a shot. My ladies have been very bad lately and knowing a few dominatrix not to mention a few Singapore criminals, I decided to give them a good caning. I took one of the bamboo poles we all have around for holding our ladies upright in problem situations and gave them all a few lashes hoping that the scarification may help to strengthen there gentle little legs. If anyone has tried this or would like to discuss why this may or may not be a good idea I would really appreciate the input.
Thanks in advance, regrets. |

What you describe is a technique called "supercropping".
Stalk thickness is mostly genetic. Bigger plants have bigger stalks. I'd rather grow a 1oz nug on a spindly stalk than a .5oz nug on the thickest/strongest stalk. |

Update: It's been a few days since the first time I experimented with this and though it's not totally conclusive, I would definately say that it worked. My stems are looking quite a bit thicker already. Thanks for the advice on chi abudsmoker, I did look at it, but I am not really interested in adding any more products to my already extensive line-up.

I like to shake my plants once in a while. I figure it mimmicks a strong storm in the outdoors. But EZer is right, Medusa is a lot thicker in stalk than usual. Genetics.
