I need help optimizing my rain forest veging box
I am using my rainforest66 for Vegging my 5 week old Nir B-52

• 79-87F in 3x3x6 box, humidity is 50-40%(a/c on order)
• 400W MH and 4 100w eq 5k CFL, Lighting is 18/6.
• Distilled water(switching to R/O next flush)
• GH micro, gro, bloom (3:2:1) Started at 300ppm, 2 weeks ago, now @ 490ppm 4 days ago.(switching to flora nova next flush)
• 5.4-5.8 ph adjusted once every 1-3 days.
• water is chilled 70'f(night) to 75F(day - the A/C should help this, I hope), Mister is 1 hr on 1 off, solution is constantly recirculated through the chiller.
• Seeds started in Rockwool cubes now in hydroton, Most roots have hit the res.
• 48" Bubble wand installed in rez, around the circumference of the base.

The plants were badly stunted by lack of nutrients early on. They are perking up now, I'd give them about the growth of an average 3 week old. (ill try to get pictures if it will help). There are still signs of the deficiency on some of the older growth, though new growth seems ok, just a little bit pale.

I am wondering if I am using enough nutes?
How gradually do I up my ppm of nutes?
Continue at (3:2:1) ratio or go to a (2:2:2)?
How do you add nutes to the res? Do you pull the pump out and pour them down the middle?

The bubblewand doesn't seem adequate as it only produces a 2" wide circle of bubbles around the perimeter. They are mostly aligned with the roots, though. (Ill try to get pix of this too). The pump might be a little undersized, too. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd smaller wand or a couple of stones and upgrading the pump.

What have others used for aerating a setup like this?

These will only be mothers. Is there any tricks to help optimize plants for cutting into clones? (pruning, npk ratios, enhancers?...)
