Default Companion plants
I know there are several plants that can be used as a companion plant for certain bugs that will survive and nest for long periods of time.. I have used the Detera plant and it seem to work- Sorta!!!
To those that read and comment, I hope u have an idea behind having a companion plant is..
I am looking for plants that are good to house bugs until I can introduce them into the growing rooms to prevent an out break of mites or to carry the room til end of harvest mark.
Another question is; what predators seem to work well to eliminate spider mites? I know there are 3 different types of mites, so as a generalization, which is the best predator to order and what companion plant do they live on.
Any input is good as long as it has been tested not speculated. I have tried lady bugs as well, but they don't work well, but as i also learned after introducing them, there is a certain type of Lady bug needed.
Thanks for any help.

my selection of plants would depend on the environment

for spider mites, smoke a (regular) cigar and blow the smoke on them. or turn the cigar into a tea and spray it.

Pitcher plants and sundews work much better for this type of insect than venus fly traps do.

Spider mites don't like and will avoid coriander. Aphids also don't like coriander.

Ladybugs like Yarrow. (yarrow also increases oil content in herbs)

Coriander is an herb. When it is growing in the garden it is called Coriander. When it is picked and going to be used people call it Cilantro.

I think it is unpleasant smelling, but I have a very sensitive sense of smell.

If your plants are still in veg you can kill spider mites by putting a drop or 2 of dish soap in a spray bottle filled with water. Spray your plants throughly making sure to get the underside of the leaves too. Pour some of the soapy water in the pot too. That will kill those mites.

I don't know if I would go that route if there were buds growing.

Sundews seem like they would be awsome against fungus gnats, has anyone put a sundew in a growroom? Do they need a humidity dome or anything? I thought of companion planting after dealing with mites.
More plants equal more targets and thus les chance of them eatin my dank.
