wats up every one. glad i found this online comminuty. i have a question regarding bushmaster.
SET UP: FOX FARM ocean forest soil. moms in 3 gallons, others in 2 gallon pots. vegging with t5 lights. flower with 600 watt hps, maybe even throw in my new 600 and flower with 2 total of 1200...maybe too much ??? hehe i will be flowering 3 moms, og kush and 2 straw berry caughs. been veggin for about 3 months and cloned few times. to say the least, these are huge huge plants compared to my 6 others which are super silver haze and 1 GDP. i was told to use bushmaster on the og cuz they react very well to it, and figured i will use it on the rest. ive done some reading and figure i want to use 1.0 and work my way up to 1.5 ml/g 3 consecutive waterings first 3 days of the flip to 12/12. my main question is... i i use the BM on the moms, they wont stretch a bit, which is ok... but what about my ssh and GDP which have been veggin for about 3-4 weeks? they are smaller in size... and would like them to have some strecth to catch up for a more even canopy. the moms have been LST since babies, Fimmed, topped, and suppercroped, all on different huge branches and some branches had combos done on em. trying to keep em small and bushy. can i use my bushmaster on the 6 younger ones a few days after the 12/12 switch for extra strecth time? do you envision the canopy somehwat even? moms are around 1.5-2 feet tall x 2 wide, others are about 11-14 inches tall with NO LST DONE TO EM... Damn sorry i hope my questions made some sense,

I'm confused. Whatd'ya mean "after the 12/12 switch for extra strecth time?"
I mean, BM retards vert, ideally. I found 2.5 mls. (1/2tsp) sprayed 3X over 6 days most effective here, but still saw 4-6 inch stretch, on foot tall plants. I watered in 3.75 mls on others and really liked the immediacy of this method. No stretch. Nodes really tight, as compared to same sprayed. You've seen these ?? BMaster1 . . . BMaster 2 Pics 1 sprayed nodes 2 watered nodes same strain age |

what i meant was the moms are getting the BM the second i switch lighting to 12/12 cycle. should i wait a few days after the switch to 12/12 for the rest which are smaller, and could probly use a bit of stretch? or maybe just foiler spray those huh?
water moms, spray smaller ones to allow for some stretch? i want even canopy as possible hehe.... |

Watering seems to stop growth immediately (might need 2 apps) while spraying is less pronounced and allows for some control, so you're right on target, IMO. Watering results in what I consider "normal BM burn" whereas I saw none in spraying.
Because I read on one of those links I posted that BM stays in the soil, I don't use it on my moms. I'm not sure what genetic influence this factoid could have on future clones, so I just use BM on new plants from clones. factoid=may or may not be accurate |

cool, dude. so far i think i know what i will do.
im getting rid of these moms, and flowring them, i cloned them extensively, and will do so again a few days before flower... just tired of keeping moms, plus they soo huge lol...its a shame not to flower em now. thanks fishy for the help dog. BTW, to get rid of burn factors i was thinking of using 2-3 applications with watering... starting at maybe .8ml/g and working up to 1.3 or so. will this get rid of burn factor? i also read if not using enough, it wont inhibit any growth. you think this amount is too small? NO BURN is ideal for me hehe. thanks brother for he help so far!. |

When I got my BMaster, there were even fewer sources of useful info, so I know how it is with the unfamiliar.
Are you using the kelp supplement, as advised in the user's manual? What's it do? I don't mind the burn at all, or the freaky-deeky and eerie, blue-green hue I uniformly saw . . . 3.75mls usually once. Your idea should work fine, just less immediate. May I presume you've looked into bonsai mums? archive Last edited by MrFishy; 09-06-2008 at 12:39 PM.. |

I'm not familiar w/all those words/steps, but if it's hydro, there's a different method. You can pick up the free users guide off google, etc.
If memory serves, I think they tend to spray only. |

yes i have looked into bosai moms, and fuckin love em,,,,they look soo cool... maybe i can turn some of my new cuts i acquired into bonsais... i aalready got 1 permanent mom i want which is SDxOG,,,hopefully i can grab the dj shorts blueberrry in the next comming weeks for another future mother.. Really? you dont mind the burn? i feeel like fuck, poor bitches not to happy when i see that.. i feed preetty conservatively... moms are only at 780 PPM and is increasing ever watering by 200 or so... hate to burn em... will prb lay off nutes all the way after BM and flush it b4 feeding again? or maybe 1/3 regimin... lol havent seen blueish hues, but i certainly wouldnt mind seing my cannabis turn all pyschodelic on me... hhehe your talking about the where the light stays in the middle and the plans grow sideways all in a cirrcle??? like a colloseum with light in middle, and rows and rows of plants all sitting aroud the light? if this is the case, i really the BM would help ALOT!!!! since with this method your growing 100+ loliipops right? this will fatten em up and stop em from nearing the light in the center... |

Possible messing with this for 40+ has made me less sensitive to the plants?
Things like burning would've really bugged me sometime in the past. I've also been pretty much organic gardening all along, too. Having a green thumb can work both ways. I don't think I've lost a dozen plants of any kind combined in my 56 years. It can be overwhelming! More than once in my life, I've wrestled 2 foot pine trees out of the ground, replanted them and had to cut them down when they got way too big for the yard. I don't know when they just became "plants" but it's a welcome development. Keep us posted on things if you use kelp sup. Last edited by MrFishy; 09-06-2008 at 06:47 PM.. |
