Either ya'll are WAY steadier than I am, or something. I bought one of those Mini-Microscopes from Radio shack, and I can't hold it steady enough to see WTF is going on. I get a glimpse of the trichomes, but thats it. Right now I can see that they are for the most part clear, but I can't tell what percentage is clear.
I'm thinking that you cut a hair, and look at it stationary (on the table, like a specimen), but i thought I'd ask before cutting anything. I have already fucked up enough on my own.
Help is much appreciated.

I have one like you, and I'm too old and feeble and such be so steady. :P
I use a plain ol' magnifying glass of ten power, and a jewelers loupe (16 and 30 power.)

I have a loupe, but really can't see the globules, or thier structure. With this microscope, I can see 'em right up close and personal. It's really pretty cool looking, the brief glimpse i do get. Now really I want to see them under 60x or 100x!! Will I hurt anything by taking 1 hair?

I have the same one, I actually hold it right to the bud, lol. If you leave the bottom specimen holder tray thing on it, it keeps it the perfect space away to see it on 60x.

Is it OK to gently touch the bud to hold it steady? I tried to see holding the stem below the bud, but no joy.
