As the Energy Information Administration noted, lifting the offshore drilling moratorium would have only a minor impact on production and prices. But some Florida conservatives are jumping on the McCain plan anyway. Gov. Charlie Crist (R-FL) — widely considered a possible McCain running mate — as late as last week opposed the drilling. Today, he flip-flopped and announced he supports McCain...
They were talking about that on CNN yesterday...they were saying that any offshore rigs could take up to 10 years before any production (there are a couple already surveyed, maybe a year or two), but the shocking thing was that there's only enough oil for about 4 years supply ?? The US uses 20 million barrels per day.
25% of world production.. Since Canada is the 2nd biggest supplier of oil to the US, we may be in danger...As was stated years ago by a Republican senator, when asked.."what if the US needs water would you except Canadian restrictions on natural resources" he replied..If need be, we'd just take it..
So I don't see Bushs' elk doing anything to the Saudi's, but kiss their asses...guess who's next on the list......Got to love the little darlings...

Another friendship policy brought to you by the almighty Republicans..Fucking
thugs...Good thing we're allies...If the world opinion of the US Gov. is low now, just look at Canada sideways...& THEN the US would become worldwide lepers...
I know that statement was made many years ago..but it does show the arrogance that, that party holds..
