Default moisture meter for drying and curing buds

Do any of you use a moisture meter to monitor your buds drying and curing? or do you guys just go by feel? I was thinking you could use a wood moisture meter to measure it while drying and curing to be more precise. I live in a really dry place so I was thinking it would be more beneficial to me then just doin it the old fashioned way. lemme know if you guys have any experience with this...
btw...I am talking about descent moisture meters like this
