No I can't give a source, as I read it a while ago now. I read that it is harmful to plants, not harmful enough to kill them, but does actually cause them damage. I think it may provide some benefits too. I just remember facts, and I've read so much about weed.

All I can suggest is that you take the road I took and read up on the light spectrum and it's relevence to helping/harming the plants.
