no no, all female varieties usually do bear only female flowers, and therefore bare fruit without needing to be pollinated.
Under stressful conditions though, they can form male flowers as well. That's when you pick them off otherwise you'll have bitter cucumbers.
So that's why in those links I'm wondering if they are just referencing all female plants. Because if you did not have a all female plant (like you and myself), you still would need to pollinate the female flowers somehow... so cutting off ALL male flowers that form wouldn't allow for this.
Those are just my thoughts. Who ever knew trying to get a cucumber to grow would be so damn hard. lol
