When i was 18 i went with 2 friends down to the states we where at the montana crossing and we got serched i had just bought the car the day before and i had all the papers to show that well when they where done the 2 hour search they came into the border station and said i was under arrest for dangerous narcotics and a pipe. I asked them where they found it and they told me under the carpet under the pasengers seat it had 1/10 of a gram of ressin and thats was why i was charged with dangerous narcotics they handcuffed me put restraints around my waist to cuff my hands to and my ankles together then put me in the back of a police car my friends had to walk back to calgary where i we where living at the time. Once in the car the cop said to me go figure a hippy would be arrested i asked him why he thought i was a hippy he said because i have canaidian/dutch citizenship and then he went off on how i was a pot smoking law breaker from two countries who dont take life seriously. When i was brought to the jail i was serched and put in a cell with nothing but a toliet and a camera i did not get to make a call for 2 days i got one meal a day when i was able to finaly call home my mom sent me money to pay my bond now to get my money i had to get shakled back up waist and ankles wrists all of it then they brought me to this little gas station where i was able to get the money i had the same jack ass cop who told everyone who was in the gas staion to stay away scum was comming when it was all over i got in my car and started driving home when i got to the canadian border the guy asked me why i looked so scared i told him the story he looked me in the eyes and said "well sweety just take it easy on your drive home spark one up with the people you love and thank god your a canadian....... oh ya and welcome home" Its was that moment that i knew i was in the right country again and i have never been back to the us and even though i am able to get a pardon now its been over 5 years i dont want one i never want to set foot in the states again. so i sugest you sell your land buy something in canada and wake up everyday and thank god you live in the country where you are truly free to be who you want to be.
