I for one don't believe in "evil-incarnate", some people are just extremely misguided.
Just because you want another option to violence, hate, oppression, prejudice and other inherently nasty things doesn't mean that you automatically have a step-by-step plan to create a perfect world.
And I didn't know the thread was on politics, I thought it was a future history book scenario. But in fairness, History IS written by the victors...
Im sure that the people committing those atrocities dont even see their victims as human beings, in essence they have been dehumanised.
It is hard to imagine that as a little boy of say, 5 years old, Osama had dreams of destroying western capitalism, he was merely misguided by adults with "isms". Idealism, anti-Americanism, narcissism.
The exact same thing occurs in every other part of the world - republicanism, imperialism, egoism.
I think when GK says that we are members of the same family, he is completely right.
