I would dig a hole about twice the size of your pot........ you have good soil right around the base of the plant, and your going to be feeding the plant nutes, so whatever the roots do outside of your hole, doesn't matter.
I do not grow outdoor, this is just my opinion, you can wait for the outdoor people to give you a definite answer, but I don't really think it matters as long as your giving the plant everything it needs. |
