I know. Don't you just LOVE that smell. mmmmmmmmmm Its awesome. We have been collected a variety over the years and have had them in a reserve garden and today we planted them all. The thing is we have a variety of them so we have the early flowering ones and then the ones that come out later so they will flower all spring long. I think fragrance is so under-rated. Some plants are more wonderful in fragrance than physical beauty but the lilacs look so pretty as well.  I LOVE them. Some of them are very young still but I have some older bushes. Quote:
