Oh, Sorry. one of the main reasons why i suggest the floor standing speakers is because they normally have an air port in the back which you can run a fan with some kind of Carbon filter inside which should take care of the smell... This can all be done internally which means you can have the speaker stand just about anywhere with out it looking suspicious. The only issue you will have with it are... A the power cord, and B the noise that the fan produces.
