im using it around the actual cup that the rock/shredded paper are in. im doing that to block light from the water/food resevoir, and im also reflecting more light back to the environment. if i let light into the resevoir, i'll of course get algae which starve the root system of oxygen.the green you see is the cloth that sucks water up to the medium. everything has been washed with vinegar and rinsed. the green cloth uses capillary action to deliver nutrient rich water and oxygen to the root system.
i just can't get it into action because my seeds wont sprout. im pist. they're takin forever. please help me get germination kick started. i soaked them in nute/water and they are in the dark closet on a moist paper towel in an open ziplock. why aren't they splitting and sending root? |
