well to start with the paper should be a little more reflective than the tin foil and should be less heat. BUT the paper could catch fire. just saying. those emergency blankets that you can get from walmart are cheap like 2 bucks and they are made of mylar which is he best stuff you can use.
mylar it self isnt that expensive. this is what i got. 10 bucks have plenty left over.

as far as "recessing" them. when they broke out of seed shell and started to grow, they were stretching alittle for the light.
here's what i did:
1.)carefully remove AG pod. should have one single root.
2.) carefully push up foam pieces. (i cut mine in half. basically just finish the cut already made.)
3.)replant or "recess" the seedling so it sits further down. some of my roots had started to grow into the side of the foam pieces. i just seperated them and moved them down.
when i had everything out i just kept the pod horizontal and removed the top piece of foam. then i laid the seedling on the bottom half keeping the new leafs just from touching the foam. then i replaced the top piece and put pod back.
i will post some new pics and hopefully i will have some that i need to recess so you can see.
