if you grow in the ground the plants could grow slower, due to the consistency of the soil. Plants grow ALOT faster in extremely light soil, and soil from outside is generally really hard. I recomend if you do put them in the ground, is to use compost (you can search craigslist and get it for free) and dig a hole of it. Or mix it with your outdoor dirt
