Even with severe topping, depending on the strain, you are going to need at least double that height.

I'm flowering some sativas now in an area 5 ft in height. I've got the light hanging at about four ft from the ground and I'm not moving it any further up, instead I'm bending the plants. They've all been topped, but including the pots, 3 are well over 4ft tall.

You could use an autoflowering strain, a lowrider... plenty of fans to blow away the heat and a small exhaust system to help with the rest and the smell. Then just keep bending them. You could even use a screen about 6" below the light and bend the plants within it, or weave them through the grid. With four-six plants you would end up with a mini forest.

Where there's a will, there's a way. I wouldn't like having to work with your space, but if that's all I had I know I'd come up with something.
