The Iran/Contra debacle has been very well publicized over the years. Liberals have beaten it to death. If you remember, there were senate hearings up the ass over Iran/Contra.
I bet this is the first you've heard of this treason committed by Ted Kennedy, right? ... And Kennedy is still in office telling Americans how they should run their lives. Big difference, no?
In the article, Senator John Tunney is mentioned. After Tunny resigned from the Senate, he became a political commentator for a Los Angeles TV station. He used to debate Bruce Herchenson on the evening news, Tunney on the left and Herchenson on the right.
I remember when the story broke about Tunney's and Kennedy's clandestine trip to the Soviet Union for their secret meeting with Kremlin officials. This was discovered, by the way, because highly secret documents were uncovered in the Soviet archives after the fall of the Soviet Union. From the day these documents were made public, Tunney disappeared from public view, never to be heard from again. Herchenson, in later years ran for election to the senate and lost his senate bid to Barbara Boxer.
Kennedy is, and always will remain, a traitor.

I'm curious Med ... why is this news so upsetting and offensive to you??
