I am not familiar with "Roots" soil. I can't even find a good source for it on the internet. Is Fox Farm Ocean Forest a suitable replacement? I have two Hydro stores in town; and the only soil they sell is FF.

You say to use 1 kilo of bone meal and blood meal, but you then put in an "i.e. 5 pounds". 1 kilo is about 2.2 pounds. Do you use 1 kilo, or do you use 5 pounds?


I have been looking for a good organic mix for some time, but am always left with very vague directions. This mix seems to be doing the trick very well. Thanks again for sharing your wealth of knowledge.
