grow lights unfortunately, do not have the correct spectrum for pot plants. others will attest to that. on here, be patient, they'll be posting soon.

Buy Cfl's (compact flourescents) The little bulbs that screw into the incandescent sockets are what you are looking for. averaging 50w per plant you do the math for your plant (s) you want 3000lumens per sq. foot (if that helps) minimum.
(do not buy any kind of Miracle Gro potting soil. I used it it also sux. too acidic, and bug-infested. no timed release crap)
but again do not ever buy those gro lamps or tubes.
