LSD is a great mind opener, i think its odd when people ask if they should take it or not or ask me if they are ready for it, i usually respond to such questions with the same thing: remember if you do decide to take LSD, when your "trippin" that its not the drug that is making you experience what you are seeing, feeling, perceiving... etc its YOU doing it. LSD is actually more or less a key, it stimulates neurons in your head that were previously dormant. The actual chemical LSD only stays in your body for less than a day then it is processed out, and when people refer to flashbacks or whatever, its simply the neurons that were TURNED ON by the chemical firing again. So if you want new neuronal pathways opened in your brain which will lead to new states of conscious and perception go for it. The hardest thing for me to get used was the spinal tingle cause ive never felt it before but its beautiful when you understand what is happening biologically, chemically, philosophically and consciously. We live in a very un-informed society, simply do the research on the drug its out there, LSD is the most researched psychedelic....
