1. Yes, you can transplant the rooted plant into soil ... RockWool and all.

2. Odor will depend upon the strain. Some strains have very little odor and others will drive you out of the house ... and you can smell it down the driveway and into the street. In that case, a good carbon filter, properly installed is the way to go.
