This is not an issue about winning; the issue is whether or not we can call ourselves a democracy anymore. If your vote doesn't count, you haven't voted at all.
That is the issue that every American should care about.
Follow the links and learn a little bit, Vi.
But one more bit: I think you're right, now, about liberals. As educated as they are about foreign policy and the sins of this nation, their idea of federalism is to force their agenda through Washington through their own strong man. It isn't constitutional. It isn't moral. It's just a fact of life (that state governments are relatively unimportant) that everyone of partisan persuasion seems keen on exploiting instead of ending.
That's why I love Ron Paul.
Empower yourself instead of a politician: that is the message of his campaign...
What a kooky thought, indeed. |
I believe what I see. Not what some people suspect might have happened. I live in a state where we used punch ballots all my adult life and they worked great. But, we pissed and moaned over "hanging chads" for weeks. Now the simple, cheap, durable, punch cards have been replaced with big shiney electronic machines.
I will start to trust in the reliability of electronic voting machines when my TV reception improves.
