theres a DIY thread about making a carbon filter. thats what i did. i used 2 6 to 8 inch ducting reducers, used some metal screen and wrapped it into a cylinder around the 8 inch sides of the filter and secured with ducttape. once i had a sturdy enough cylinder i duct taped off one end to seal and and then wrapped activated carbon around the screen. it works good, not great but good. i think i need another layer of carbon. but i only spent 35 bucks making it from items i found at home improvement stores. let me see if i can find the link for it.
