Dear god. Do your research people. Misinformation is fuckin' rampant in this thread.

There are quite a few psychadelic toads (and they're TOADS, not frogs, with a few exceptions). Most contain 5-Meo-DMT and small amounts of n,n,DMT. They also contain another hallucinogen, bufotenin and other bufo-toxins. Bufo will not make you trip except in large amounts... And you probably wouldn't want to trip on it anyway; it's been detected in the urine of schizophrenics, so it probably plays a role in their mental disorder. It's more likely to make you feel like your head is on fire and your organs are being turned inside-out if you ingest it. It's quite toxic. Aside from making a potential predator trip, bufotenin also poisons them (though usually not fatally). This is why you should NOT lick toads- yes, licking a psychadelic toad will make you trip, as you get the 5-meo-DMT and such in addition to the bufotenin. Since we are such large creatures, the bufotenin isn't fatal... But I assure you it can make you feel like shit.

These active chemicals are contained in the toad's skin. However, the Sonoran Desert Toad/Colorado River Toad (scientific name: bufo alvarius) is the ideal choice because it has venom sacks which can be milked. The venom sacks are NOT on the f*cking back, they are on the sides of the toad's head, toward the back. Killing a toad or scraping it's skin for the venom is idiotic; you're just hurting the toad when its not necessary. Milking the venom sacks causes no harm to the toad, but it -must- be done correctly to avoid hurting the toad. It will look like puss-like-discharge more than anything else. You dry the venom (it dries quickly), and then scrape it into a pipe suitable for smoking DMT... You can also put it on some nice bud, but only a tiny bit.

5-meo-DMT is more active due to part of it acting almost like an MAOI (and thus passing more easily beyond your blood-brain barrier). This is why you only put it on a tiny bit of leaf if you smoke any bud while you smoke it. However, any chemical that requires an MAOI to be orally active is going to be active when smoked. The upside to milking the toad is that although the bufotenin is in the venom, it has a lower burning point than the other active ingredients. In other words, it can't harm you when you put it to a flame.

Only use a small amount. A tiny pea-sized amount contains a lot of 5-meo-DMT. Make sure you smoke it properly- this includes having a suitable piece for smoking this kind of material, and using the proper dosage (too much and you'll wish you hadn't smoked it). Don't milk the toad for about a month after; it needs to replenish its supply since you made it use all of it at once, and this takes a while. Milking it in the meantime will only cause the toad unnecessary harm. And be aware of the effects of the active ingredients- while it is similar to n,n-DMT, it has different effects- more of a "being one with the universe" state of being and ego-death than any visuals.

Hope this helps. Toad is wonderful, and this is actually a religious sacrament for some people, so treat it with respect. If you're looking to just get fucked up, you're probably not going to like how intense it is and are more likely to have a bad trip... And that's fine by me if you use it irresponsibly or hurt the toad.
