I've used molasses in my hydro system, admittedly ebb&flow so nothing to get clogged. I started it about 3 years ago when I tried an organic nutrient by B'Cuzz Atami, and one of the components is called Flavor, and it is mostly beet molasses. I use other nutes now, but I still use their Flavor. I add 1 teaspoon (5 ml) per gallon to the nutes during the last 2-3 weeks.
