Again I repeat: the unions are responsible for getting American workers livable wages and benefits that allowed the middle class to emerge. do some more research. now that union-ism is on the decline and corporat-ism is on the rise, the middle class is going down the shitter. It was these union livable wage jobs that allowed parents to send their kids to college and the emergence of an educated workforce brought about the middle class upsurge in the 50s-70s. Once educated, they saw no need for Unions, hence the decline of union-ism and then 2 generations later as corporat-ism is sweeping America, the fast decline of the middle class is upon us. The corporations have no conscience, remember? They care not about employees or the environment in which they operate. Without Government controls (which you despise) another Bhopal would be eminent.
