I was worried about bud rot and mold so after 4-5 days i cut each bud from the main stem and lay them out on a tray with paper sheet over the top. this worked very well for me and the buds dried out a lot quicker. But i am no expert. The main cola is very wet and full of moisture and if not dried properly can get mold and taste awfull.
I found the drying prosess the hardest part of growing. you must get this right or loose your crop.
