possibly to much light, to cold, or not damp enough/too damp.

Try get it in the warm wet papper towels and put a plate underneath it. Then over the top place a hotwater bottle (filled with boiling water of course), this will keep it warm. refill it with boiling water again at night. Then it should be done in 2days max.
