well..... when I remove a neoprene collar when the sprayer is on... water shoots out of the top... not straight up though.

Though they dont spray vertical, they spray outwards about about 40 degree angle or so... so the sprayer directly beneath the collar wont hit that particular collar at all, the sprayer that is 6 inches or so to the LEFT or RIGHT, or above or below (you catch my drift) will be pelting it.

The EZ cloner I think when the sprayers are on kind of gets every inch of area inside wet.

if you're using the same type of spray nozzle/head, then just put it between 4 and six inches. If you do six inches, then depending on your res, you will be able to put less water in. @4 inches, you'll have two more inches of water that you can put in there.

How many sites are in your cloner, and how many gallons is your res?

I also highly recommend a timer. I do 15 seconds ON, and 20 minutes off. but I do have an airstone in it though, an air pump came with my EZ cloner.

Good luck, I hate clone problems... so frustrating.
