"last question being, do i start doing all this durring this 8th week, or finish letting them grow out till the end of the week then start letting them dry out and put them in the dark?"

if you say they are starting to amber up real good and you think they have about a week left, then i say just give straight water for the next couple days....then no water for at least 3-4 days along with total dark for the last day or 2
