Default What is the Preferred Method of Uploading Pictures?

In regards to server space, is there a preferred method of uploading pictures? For example, uploading images to photobucket and directly linking them vs. uploading through RIU.

I like to use photobucket and link them, but if I were ever to delete my photobucket account my threads would be pretty sucky.

So I was thinking of using RIU to upload images, but I figured that would take up more server space.

It doesn't really matter (to me) which one I use...I just wanted to know if the administration preferrs one method vs. the other.
