Hey all, I was really baked and decided to pick up on a story I had started to write months ago, I have a rough draft of the first paragraph, and I have all the ideas behind it, just need to actually write it, anyways heres a preview, im mixing in some elements from both 1408 short story/film and the silent hill series, specifically mostly from silent hill 1 and silent hill 4. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it, give some feedback, im no stephen king, so please be gentle
oh and it might seem vague at some points, because I havent figure dout where they are, or where they are going, city names etc

I watched closely as smoke rose from the red burning ember and drifted weightless into the sky. For a brief
second forming a dense cloud with a striking resemblence to nebulae. I took a second inhale of my cigarette
and exhaled watching closely; a strong gust of wind dissappated the smoke quickly. I sighed deeply and stood to stretch;
What's taking her so long? I was waiting for my girlfriend Kali to arrive and tell me good news. For the past few months
my friends and I have been searching for an apartment to rent in another city; we had just put a deposit down on a
promising apartment near the downtown area. I sat back down and shifted my weight uncomfortably; inhaling
periodically the sharp pain in my back turned to a gentle numb sensation.
