Default busted 4 dealing in another state but want to grow sum,would it be a 1st or 2nd off

would like to know if felony record would travel state to state if i were to be busted for growing? Is this something you could hide, do they check other state records? would it be a st or second offenxse. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRETIATED
