For my money, you just can't beat Fox Farm's new organic soil. I grow bio and try to stay as organic as possible. Now with Fox Farm's soil, I no longer need to fertilize, just water when needed! It saves lots of time, money, and stoop labor. It's not cheap at $22.00 per bag (if you get at least 3 bags), but it actually SAVES money by eliminating the need for fertilizers. My plants are bigger, greener, and heavier since I started using Fox Farm soil. It's amazing! One bag goes a long way, as it's not filled with peat, which holds a lot of water for a short period of time. Fox Farm soil is dense and heavier then the regular peat-heavy mixes. For that reason, it doesn't dry out as fast, which translates into less labor. (Disclaimer: I have no financial interest or commercial connection to Fox Farm. If I heard someone going on about it like I just did, I would be suspicious about their motivations. I am just excited about a great new product that has improved my yield, saved me money, and lessened my work load!)
