very interesting. I have always believed that you are not speaking with a loved one, but a "familiar". A familiar spirit is one that happens to be familiar with that particular person' not the actual person. And people have x number of familiars, that is how we are all connected through familiars. on a side note I have tried to respond to this thread with no luck until now ... who or what was blocking me ?
