I agree with what you are saying, but what I was talking about has nothing to do with carcinogens, pesticides, etc. I was referring to the release of polyphenols at the cellular level similar to Resveratrol found in red wine due to an increased metabolic rate when fewer calories are consumed. The result of this is a deaccelerated rate of mitosis, thus slower aging.
