Thank you, though it's just a C&P, but still very relevant.
The central issue is the consumer, and the only thing Bush and Obama have been doing is pissing off consumer's even more.
And we no longer have a way to get back at mismanaged banks.
Before, we could launch a run on them. Yank our money out of them, and let them die. Now, the government will step in and resurrect them from the dead as a Zombie Firm.
For GM, Ford and Chrysler, the companies would either have already entered bankruptcy, or vanished, making room for new competitors.
They would have either learned from their mistakes or died. Instead, the government steps in and saves them from themselves.
It's not about the unions, or about the executives, it's about allowing failure to result in well... failure. Instead of making failure successful by stealing from the taxpayers to give to the unsuccessful.
But you know all that, so I'm just running my fingers for no reason.
