With a webcam, pc or mac, and an internet connection, you can monitor and record your home from a seperate location. Since it is recording via the internet, there is no media for a thief to retrieve in an effort to conceal evidence of their identity. You can also use this tool to record your own shows to broadcast at specific times (pass out the link via email). Go to
http://www.ustream.tv/get-started and click the bright orange button, top-center, labeled "Broadcast". Follow the on-screen instructions to record your "show". You can look in at any time (from a computer) to view the live recording.
