if you want purple buds

grow a purple strain

simple as that

a few that come to mind (and yes, you cna find these in seedbanks generally)

purple erkle
purple power plant
purple exctasy
grandaddy purps
da purps

etc. etc.

don't add food coloring
why ruin the taste of your bud?
coloring your bud the color of purple won't give it that nice purply taste
