Notes: I checked the Rapid rooters and I saw roots poking out the bottom as well as the sides. Once moving them closer to the light they are using all the moisture in the plugs in about 8 hours so it is time to move them to the Rockwool cubes.

I soaked the Rockwool in water and super thrive ph at 5.0 over night.

Then with almost dry rooter cubes I put them in the Rockwool and added pieces of rooter cubes to fill the extra space. I watched as the rooter absorbed the water from the Rockwool and got moist once again. By the way the empty one is where I have a temp probe.

Their first feeding will be 10ml of nitrozime per gallon. That’s about 25% of recommended dose but I have superthrive in there. Not to mention the micro nutrients in the rooters. I plan on dipping the cubes about one inch into the solution for about ten seconds allowing the cube to soak up the solution. This will last for a couple days.
I go by weight. The first time I do them individually and only dip the light ones. After that they will all go in at once.

Now may be a good time to give you an example of what I have planned.
Of course things change, but so far this is my guideline.

Amounts are per gallon.

Seedling stage
First Week R/O water only.
Second Week 10 ml Nitrozime

Start Veg.

Veg nutrients are GH and Flower are a mix of mainly FF but I still have GH additives and the Budswell. Guano. I have used this combination before and was happy with results.

Week 1
2.5 ml Flora nova grow, 2.5ml floralicious grow, 5ml Diamond nectar.
Week 2
5 ml Flora nova grow, 5ml floralicious grow, 10ml Diamond nectar.
Week 3
5 ml Flora nova grow, 5ml floralicious grow, 10ml Diamond nectar.
Week 4
10ml Flora nova grow, 5ml floralicious grow, 5ml Big Bloom, 10ml Diamond nectar.

Flush 2 days R/O

Flower
Week5
5ml FF tiger bloom, 15ml FF big bloom, 10ml diamond nectar. 15ml Budswell.
Week 6
5ml FF tiger bloom, 15ml FF big bloom, 10ml diamond nectar. 15ml Budswell.
Week 7
10 ml grow big, 15ml FF big bloom, 10ml Diamond nectar. 15ml Budswell.
Week 8
10 ml grow big, 15ml FF big bloom, 10ml Diamond nectar. 15ml Budswell.
Week 9
5 ml grow big, 10ml FF big bloom, 10ml tiger bloom 15 ml Budswell.
Week 10
5 ml grow big, 10ml FF big bloom, 10ml tiger bloom, 10 ml Flora nectar 10ml Kool Bloom
Week 11
5 ml grow big, 10ml FF big bloom, 10ml tiger bloom, 10ml Kool Bloom.
Week 12
5 ml grow big, 10ml FF big bloom, 10ml tiger bloom, 5ml flora nectar.

Flush 5ml flora nectar for two days.
Flush straight R/O water.
Change every two days. Until ppms drop under 100ppm. Usually takes four..
Res is 4 gallons I use 2 gallons to flush with.

I realize these amounts are about half that’s recommended.

Thing is, I have burned just about every crop I have had at one point or another at recommended levels. Now this could have been caused by other factors such as Ph, temps and airflow however starting with a lower amount seems to make my mistakes more forgiving.

I have grown four different strains in drip systems and the only one that could take the nutes along with the variables was Dutch Dragon. Well I am in the middle of a WW grow and they seem to be able to take more but they are doing fine at these levels.

I am open to comments and suggestions such as the effects of combining Organic with non organic nutrients. I would also like to hear form someone who uses sweeteners in flower. How does that work anyway? I am thinking the sugars are transferred along with the water somehow bypassing the photosynthesis process where the plant makes its own sugars and adding to the effect. Maybe I got it all wrong.

UV lighting is something I am considering. How would I do that with a 400W HPS.
I have read one of Earls posts where he used them and I like the idea of a smoother smoke but It looked to me like that was a CFL grow. If I were to add a UV light I am thinking I need about 150 watts.
