I'm going to post a couple of tricks and tips while SUB's knee deep acting out ---EDWARD SCISSOR HANDS-----.
I cut the plant at the base just above the soil line. I use pruning shears for this task but my favorite trimming tool is my FISK spring loaded scissors I picked up from walmart in the craft section. I can get down and dirty with these little bad boys
----I have been known to do 12 hours sessions straight with no hand or finger problems. I lay the plant on the table that is covered with a 75 micron silk screen. I break down the plant into single branches-once this is done I cut off all the fan leaves and anything that has a visible stem gets cut. After all the fan trim is removed I go to work on the rest of the resin leaf around the bud---I like to trim all the leaf I can find(this is were the FISK shears come in handy)---I make hash out of the good leaf so I cut the buds down till they have no leaf showing. At this point I put the wet buds into my cure-tent that I built this year---it has a digital thermostat/humidistat with mesh racks layered from top to bottom. The thermostat is set to 76 deg and controls small dual fans at the top of the unit and the humidistat is set to 45% and controls a humidifier that I have ducted in on the bottom of the tent rack. The buds will spend 84 hours in the rack without light. At the end of the 84 hours I place the buds into paper sacs and seal up the unit for another 84 hours. At the end of this 7 day process the buds are ready for the glass jars----I cut the buds off the stems(I make my cut so that no stem is visible on the bud) and place the buds in the jars. I give the jars a little shake each day and burp off the gases for the first week. Then I only shake and burp once a week and the buds are ready to be enjoyed after 4 weeks in the jars. (If it's an emergency-----we test a little at week 2

). Note: the 76 temp/ with 45% humidity seems to be the best combo for the length of time in the cure tent---you could try a little longer with a slightly higher humidity but I definitely wouldn't go over 50%-----You could run into mold problems
