There was also a vast amount of corruption in NAZI Germany, Fascist Italy and Maoist China. All of which makes the Corruption in the United States pale in comparison, or at least it did until the Socialists like FDR turned the United States into a Socialist/Fascist (whatever you want to call it, as it really doesn't make any difference, both of them espoused socialist ideas and state control of industry with power focused in the hands of the few instead of a free enterprise system where the vast majority of the companies were small and privately owned.) Funny, you left that part out. The focus on doing it all for the Good of the People... of course, if you hadn't left that out, some might realize that what you were describing is what Socialists/Liberals/Communists/Progressives/Whatever the Hell you want to call yourselves is pushing.

The best thing for this country would to admit that Socialism is a flawed ideology that will never work, because it destroys the work ethic, undermines morale, and belief in one's self, and leads to a lazy hedonistic society that is incapable of producing sufficient food, and consumer goods to see to all their wants, and do away with anything that resembles it, returning to a true Laisse-Faire Capitalist System.

Of course, that's completely counter to what socialists such as yourself are pushing for. Must be difficult when you are caught between espousing hatred of your ideology and worshipping it as the end all be all...

Though from what I understand Orwell believed that such a practice would be routinely required in Socialists and called it Black-White or something like that, defining it as the ability to believe that Black was both Black and White, and that White was both White and Black at need when ordered to by the leaders of the Socialist Elite.

Anyway... I fail to see what all this has to do with a true laisse-faire capitalist system where the role of the government would be so greatly reduced in the lives of everyone that there would be no bail outs, no theft from one generation to give to another, and no talk of all this stupid horse shit such as rights to medical care, shelter and to screw over those that actually pay taxes.
