I think much depends on where these grows are located at,not all power company's live by the rule that as long as you pay 100% of the bill on time your good to go,there are doccumented cases where power/hydro company's have a policy & a program in place where they not only report high power use but they investigate it & levy huge fines to the home owner.

I'd reccomend that a guy researches his power company's policy about customer privacy issues before they go all out thinking their ok as long as they pay the bill,it's information that you as a customer are entitled to but you must ask .

Ive called my power supplier & asked these questions,it took several days to get a straight answer but i know exactly where i stand with them.
