well i got a slightly different opinion one that one. the bigger the jar the more volume of moister you got and the more likely is it that mold will start to eat up your buds.
also, experience taught me that at some point you so stoned that you forget to close the jar and all the bud will dry up. with a small jar the damage done isn't to big, with big size jar- you do the thinkin

and as last reason, small jars can be stacked faster for curing and are easier to conceal and hide, and that is a damn good reason
