Seems like it would be a sweet set up once it is all going, But seems abit spendy...Of course this is retail and I could try and buy buckets and convert them for the hardwear store...Any Suggestions out there?

could maybe have a look into going dwc/bubbleponics, this option is going to cost you less.
net pots are about 1 dollar each, cheaper than the big pots you need
clay pebbles, use less of these in the smaller pots, a single bag will do many pots,
